Strathearn Passes First Test
STRATHEARN House, the new aged care facility on Gundy Road, passed its first test last week with a quality assessment from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency.
Matthew Downie, chief executive officer of Strathearn said they were pleased the new facility passed all areas of review.
“The feedback from the assessor was extremely positive, in fact this was the first time the assessor had been in a facility with the house model of care so she was amazed at the lovely cooking smells as staff were cooking in the kitchen and the engagement they had with residents at meal time,” he said.
“The first quality assessment was very positive with all areas reviewed being met,” said Mr Downie.
“This was a desktop audit and there will be regular visits during the first twelve months and a full accreditation sometime around June next year,” he said.
