Youngest in Australian Team Ready
SCONE’S Lochlan Eadie boarded his flight to Italy last night to represent Australia in the World Pankration Championships.
At 17 years of age, Lochlan is the youngest member of the team and hopes to do his country, friends and family proud.
“I am feeling really focused, all I have been thinking about is the championships and winning gold,” said Mr Eadie.
“I really hope to do Australia and my family proud,” he said.
“And am really appreciative of all of the people who have helped me get there, who have donated to the GoFund, ASN for sponsoring me and everyone who wished me well,” Lochlan Eadie said.
The GoFund account established to help Lochlan represent Australia raised $1,700 which Lochlan has used fr his flights and accommodation, with the Italian government also supplementing accommodation costs for the competitors.
ASN, a sports nutrition business from Singleton also supported Lochlan.
Lochlan trains under his dad Rod Eadie at Jiu Jistu Dynamix in Scone.
