Brad Cone has advised his dad Don Cone passed away this morning:

Don Cone passed away this morning.

With a heavy heart we say goodbye to our best mate after a two year battle with Asbestos Cancer.

Dad fought courageously right to the end and was determined to hang in to see his 11th grandchild Jesse Henry come into the world only two days ago.

If there is a heaven I hope it’s up on the Barrington Tops where dad can now sit peacefully for the opening of trout season with a fishing rod in one hand and a beer in the other.

We love you old mate, thanks for the memories xx

UPDATE: The funeral service to celebrate the life of Don Cone will be held on Monday 24th October 2016 at 11am in the North Chapel, Newcastle Memorial Park, Beresfield.
