More Gold for Local Jiu Jitsu

LOCHLAN Eadie won two gold and two bronze medals at the Australian National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships in Melbourne on the weekend.

The gold medals were in the gi and no-gi 17 year blue belt division and the bronze was in the open weight division.

Lochlan was able to submit his opponents to take hte gold medals with an arm bar and guillotine choke.

 

His father and coach, Rod Eadie also won two silver with a wrist lock and a rear naked choke and also won two bronze in the masters level 2 division.

Rod Eadie said the tournament was a good indication of the competition they can expect at the Pan-Pacific tournament in Melbourne in October.

“The nationals is an annual five star international event and really allows you to see the playing field for who will be there for the Pan-Pacifics, which is the pinnacle six star international event,” said Mr Eadie.

“The strongest of the country get together and the fighters were all technically skilled and very strong athletically,” he said.

They are now preparing for the next titles, the Oceanic which is a three star event in late September.
