Further to the initial report police have confirmed the 44 year old driver was from Coolah and driving a white Kenworth Prime Mover with blue livestock carrier.
As the truck driver approached oncoming traffic he veered slightly to the left, then continued through the right hand bend and at that point the truck began tipping over to the left.
The vehicle traveled another 200 metres as it continued to tip over.
As the truck tipped the 32 cattle on the top deck of the trailer were flung onto the adjacent land.
There were 21 cattle killed, some were killed on impact, colliding with trees and some required euthanasia.
The 34 cattle in the bottom deck were trapped until NSW Fire and Rescue Crews arrived.
The driver was not trapped but sustained moderate injuries including bruising and minor lacerations.
The driver was taken by ambulance to the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone and later transferred to the John Hunter Hospital for further examinations.
The truck and trailer were towed from the scene.
