Cold Front Brings Prediction of Snow
THE Bureau of Meteorology is predicting Barrington Tops may see a light dusting of snow down to 900 metres on Friday afternoon as a cold front moves through the state.
There will be rain coming through before the snow, which could make for very muddy conditions on the Barrington.
The Bureau advised that people wanting to see snow are probably better heading to the central tablelands to Orange and Oberon where heavier falls are expected, but Coolah Tops may also see some snow fall.
The cold front will clear the state over the weekend, with clear skies predicted for Saturday and Sunday.
But there will be a wind chill factor that will mean people will need to rug up for Saturday sports and Sunday morning will be cold and frosty.
