Screaming Success
WHEN I heard the news I screamed, said local artist Eleanor Wyndham.
Most bands get a kick out seeing their name on t-shirts and now Eleanor has joined their ranks.
Eleanor won the design competition for the Kia-Ora music camp and her artwork will be printed on the t-shirts.
“I am excited that my logo will be on all the shirts and my friends will all wear it,” she said.
“I am also really proud that I won for my school, Scone Primary,” she said.
This was the first art competition Eleanor has entered and she sourced her inspiration from images on the internet.
“I looked on the internet for different pictures of horses and I liked one that was standing on its back legs, but it was mane was a bit stiff, so I made its mane softer and added more shade,” said Eleanor.
“There were three things I had to draw, horses, sport and music,” she said.
“I love doing art and I love that my friends will now have it on their t-shirts,” Eleanor Wyndham said.
The 15th Upper Hunter Shire and Kia-Ora Youth Music Camp and Concert will be run in Scone from March 16 to 18.
The closing date to participate is Friday, February 19.
