Friday
Merriwa Festival of the Fleeces – Opening Night
- Live music from Everyday People and local poet Tim McLoughlin
- When: 6pm
- Where: Merriwa RSL, Bettington Street, Merriwa.
- Cost: $15 adults, $10 pensioner, $5 children.
Saturday
Merriwa Festival of the Fleeces – Bettington Street and the Showground.
- 8am – 3pm – Street stalls, kids corner, CWA morning tea and lunch, team penning
- 8:30am – Wool spinning,
- 9:30am – Modern day shearing display, hanging of the quilts, vintage vehicle display
- 10am – damper and billy tea,
- 11am – Maitland Pipes and Drums band
- 12 noon – Running of the sheep
- 1pm – dog high jump
- 2pm – working sheep dog display
- 3pm – entertainment moves to the showground – gum boot throwing competition, sheep poo throwing competition
- 4pm – children’s hobby sheep races, lolly scramble, tug-of-war,
- 5:45pm – festival presentation
- 6pm – Ka-Boom fireworks
Murrurundi Art Prize Exhibition
- What: Murrurundi Art Prize
- When: 10am – 4pm
- Where: RSL Hall, New England Highway, Murrurundi.
- Cost: Gold coin donation.

Sunday

- 9am – Anglican Parish blessing of the fleece
