Update: Accident South of Parkville
THE two vehicles involved in the collision on the New England Highway south of Parkville shortly after 3am were a Martin’s Stag tipper and a B-double.
The vehicles were both northbound when the b-double collided with the back right corner of the Martin’s truck.
The local driver of the Martin’s truck was uninjured, however the 45 year old male driver of the B-double was taken to the John Hunter Hospital.
The highway remains closed.
Update 10:35am: Light vehicles are still being diverted via Middlebrook Road, however heavy vehicles are gradually being let through on the Highway.
