Statement from Inglis
Statement provided by Inglis Media:
The entire Inglis family is mourning the loss of Olivia Inglis, daughter of company Deputy Chairman Arthur and Charlotte.
Olivia died following a rotational fall off her horse in competition in Scone on Sunday 6 March 2016.
Managing Director Mark Webster paid tribute to Olivia “On behalf of the Board of Directors, company shareholders, staff and the entire thoroughbred community, our thoughts are with Arthur and Charlotte and their girls after the tragic passing of their lovely daughter Olivia.”
Arthur and Charlotte commented “We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and sympathy from family and friends throughout the school, equestrian and thoroughbred communities.”
“We are so proud of Olivia and the beautiful young woman she was in every way”
“We are blessed to have had the opportunity to share our passion for horses with our children.
“This has led us on a great journey where we have been able to spend countless happy moments and special family times.
“So much to celebrate and a life so joyous and well lived.”
Unfortunately Olivia’s much loved horse Coriolanus has suffered injuries much worse than originally reported.
Following advice from Scone Equine Hospital, Coriolanus was euthanised earlier today after x-rays revealed he was suffering from a displaced fracture in his neck.
He was a talented competitor and loved family member and will be sadly missed.
The funeral service and celebration of Olivia’s life will be held at 11.30 am on Monday 14 March 2016 at St Judes, Avoca Street Randwick, Sydney.
Parking will be available at Inglis Newmarket, 1 Young Street Randwick and guests can walk to the service or utilise the available shuttle bus.
