Sconeite 104 Today

KELLY Thrift celebrated turning 104 today with family and enjoyed some French champagne, garlic chilli prawns and a ginger cake.

“I feel like 104,” he laughed.

“Life goes on each day and I still have a punt each day,” he said.

“I’d like to aim for 105, five is my lucky number,” laughed Kelly Thrift.

His daughter Jill Haug said he moved into Strathearn last July and has a huge bunch of helium balloons over his bed to celebrate, but they decided some French champagne and time at home was on the menu for today.

Kelly, who was christened Garnet Lindsay Thrift became known as Kelly when the Kelly gang was well known in the playground.
