Police Update: Gundy Accident
AT approximately 8:50am, Sunday on Gundy Road, a refrigerator truck and a water truck collided.
Both trucks had been traveling in a southerly direction.
The refrigerator truck was traveling at approximately 50 kilometres an hour when it drove into the back of the water truck which was in the centre of the road, spraying water.
The driver of the refrigerator truck became trapped in the cabin of his truck and a fire crew had to cut the driver from the wreckage.
The driver of the refrigerator truck sustained leg injuries and was flown to the John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter as a precaution.
The driver of the water truck did not sustain any injuries.
