Highway Still Closed

THE New England Highway is expected to remain closed for five hours following an accident approximately two kilometres south of Scone.

NSW Ambulance in Sydney were able to confirm the accident occurred just before 5:30am and involved one utility, one sedan and a motorbike.

Ambulance assessed two patients at the scene and one was taken to the Scott Memorial Hospital.

Motorists are advised to use Gundy Road until the Highway reopens.

The Roads and Traffic Authority did not arrive to divert traffic to Gundy Road until approximately 7:10am.

UPDATE: The new England Highway was reopened at 12:53 pm.
