Goodluck Young Sconeites

EIGHT young Sconeites are playing in the NSW Country Championship this weekend and next weekend all the action will be in our own backyard, when Scone hosts the under 15’s and under 16’s round of the competition.

Picked to play in Lismore this weekend: Front row: Charlie Richardson, Daniel O’Regan, Bailey Park. Back row: Joseph Sedgwick, Nicholas Adkins and Jack Teague.

In the under 12’s being played in Lismore this weekend, there are six players from Scone Junior Rugby playing in the Central North team: Joseph Sedwick, Nicholas Adkins, Jack Teague, Charlie Richardson, Daniel O’Regan and Bailey Park.

The boys have worked their way through a vigorous selection process including trail games against Hunter, Mid-North Coast, Central Coast and Central West.

We can also be proud of Edward Bell and Nick Baker who were selected to play in the under 14’s for the Central North team.

Edward and Nick will now have the opportunity to be selected into the under 14’s Country side during this championship.

Next weekend the action will be in Scone, when Scone Junior Rugby hosts the under 15’s and under 16’s round of the NSW Country Championships.

Under 14’s representatives Nick Baker and Edward Bell.

The best seven teams in each age group in Country NSW from the Central West, Illawarra, Hunter, Mid North Coast, Central Coast, Far North Coast and our own Central North teams will play.

All players will be looking to gain selection into their respective NSW Country teams as well as winning the Country Championships for their Zone.
