Early Voting Begins Today
VOTING early is increasingly popular, with more than 21,000 people of the 50,000 registered voters in the state seat of Upper Hunter casting their vote early at the last election.
If you’d like to avoid the crowds on election day and free up your Saturday you can cast your vote from today at an at an early voting centre in person, by post or over the phone.
- You can apply for a postal vote through the Australian Electoral Commission before May 16: Postal Vote
- If you are visually impaired you can vote with the telephone: Australian Electoral Commission.
The closest early polling centre is at 3/77-85 Bridge Street, Muswellbrook.
It is a new building in the car park of the Muswellbrook Marketplace.

There are eight candidates in the seat of New England, which incorporates the Upper Hunter Shire area.
