THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter is transporting a 52 year old male, who sustained a broken arm whilst competing in an enduro bike event in the Barrington National Park, to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
The helicopter was unable to land at the scene due to the dense vegetation and police used a 4-wheel-drive to transport the patient to a clearing where the chopper could land.
