Artists Prepare for First Exhibition
RYAN Towse is confident everyone will like his artwork on opening night of his first art exhibition, “because it has red paint and I gave my brother Liam a red eye.”
“People will also like the yellow and green in the painting and there is some purple,” said Ryan Towse.
Like most artists, even the greats, Ryan laments some changes he would now like to make to his finished work, “I think I’d like to add some grass and a sun to this painting.”
Fellow artist Isaac Gilbert agrees red is an important colour in a painting, “red is the best colour and paint is better than crayons; this is of Dad, Mum, Ethan and me.”
Each child at the Scone & District Pre-school have prepared three artworks as part of the bi-annual art exhibition fundraiser for the school.
Local artists including painters and potters have worked with the children to create the exhibition and have also contributed artworks to the exhibition.
The opening night is set down for Friday, August 19 and will be held at the Scone Arts & Crafts hall in Kingdon Street.
There will be drinks and canapes, raffles, a lucky door prize and auctions of the art works.
The exhibition will also be open on the Saturday, but most works are anticipated to be sold on opening night.
