THE Scone Chamber Women’s Network event has been postponed until further notice, due to COVID-19 health concerns and the subsequent closing of State borders.

The event was initially limited to 50 attendees and was to be held at the Scone Race Club next Thursday, August 13.

Event organiser Jillian Lennon said although the event is postponed, Lucy Turnbull AO is still on the card’s as the event’s headline guest speaker.

“We’ve spoken with Lucy’s office and she is happy to become part of the date further down the track,” Ms Lennon said.

“Everyone decided under the current circumstances, with New South Wales trying to get community transmission under control, it was better to postpone,” she said.

“We intend to reschedule the event at the first opportunity,” she said.

Ms Lennon said refunds are readily available however, the event is in high-demand and those who get a refund now will have to “get in fast” when the new date is released.

“We sold out within 24 hours…we blinked and it was sold out,” Ms Lennon said.

“Given the speed we sold out, people can choose to hold on to their tickets if they are prepared to wait, or receive a refund now and get in fast next time,” she said.

“When we do get a new date out, refunds will still be available if ticket holders cannot make it, as long as they notify us in time to re-sell their tickets,” she said.

“Keep your eyes and ears open for the new date,” said Jillian Lennon.
