Bunnan Polocrosse Annual Carnival

Bunnan Polocrosse Club is holding their annual carnival this weekend.
The competition has grades in open, women’s, juniors and sub junior divisions.
Play commences at 8am on both days and canteen and bar facilities are available all weekend.

On Friday night there will be homemade pies on offer and the bar will open.

On Saturday night there is a three course dinner with a DJ entertaining until late.

No Dogs are allowed.

Rugby Union 15yrs and 16yrs State Championships

Saturday and Sunday see over 500 junior rugby union players playing in Scone for the NSW State Championships. The 15’s will be playing at Scone Park and the 16’s will be playing at the Scone Brumbies field. Finals will be from 12.00 on Sunday. Teams include the Central West, Illawarra, Hunter, Mid North Coast, Central Coast, Far North Coast and the Central North, with three local Scone boys playing for the Central North under 15’s side: Matt Smart, Aidan McGuinnes and Braden Cook.

There is no alcohol available at junior matches but there is canteen facilities at both sites across the weekend. Aberdeen Street is being blocked to allow safe pedestrian access between the two venues.

  • When: from 9.00am-3.00pm Saturday and 8.30am start Sunday- entry is free

Scone Fun Run

On Sunday the Scone Athletics club is holding the Scone Fun Run where you can take the family and run 2 km, 5km or 10km around Scone Race Club grounds and track. The 2km run is held on the roads of the race club and is considered stroller friendly. The 5km and 10km runs are held on gravel paths and roads also use the grass on the inside of the track.

All participants under 12 years old in the 2km run will receive a medal to commemorate their efforts.
