Westpac Called to Ellerston

THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter has flown to the Ellerston area to care for a male who has been injured in a tree lopping accident.

The critical care medical team have been winched down to the isolated location to treat the patient.

Update 2:30pm: The Westpac Rescue Helicopter have just made a correction to their original release…they were called to Eccleston, near Dungog, not Ellerston as first reported.

The 39 year old man is being flown to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, suffering pelvic and lower leg injuries.
