Weather: the week ahead

THE Bureau of Meteorology has predicted a burst of spring this week throughout the Upper Hunter.

There is a high pressure system over us and we can expect temperatures in the mid to high teens today possibly touching 20 degrees with light winds.

On Wednesday we can expect temperatures of 22 to 23 for Scone, which is a step up from the average of 18 degrees at this time of year.

There will be light winds throughout the week and the possibility of light showers.

Late Thursday and into Friday the temperatures will drop slightly with the chance of showers increasing into the weekend and the light winds prevailing throughout this week.
