Weather: The week ahead

SUNNY skies and warm temperatures are predicted for Scone this week, with tops of 24 degrees to look forward to on the weekend.

A westerly trough will arrive on Wednesday, bringing significant cloud cover and a dash of rainfall to the area, with Scone expected to receive only two millimetres.

Thursday and Friday will see a slight drop in temperature, as the remainder of the trough makes its way through the Hunter.

Scone can expect a warm and sunny weekend, with tops of of 21 degrees predicted on Saturday and 24 on Sunday.

The Glenbawn Dam level is currently sitting at 62.1 percent capacity, a 0.8 percent increase since last week.
