Weather: The week ahead

SUNNY skies and a top of 17 degrees today in Scone, with a chance of light rainfall this afternoon resulting from heavy coastal showers.

Partly cloudy conditions tomorrow and Wednesday, with rain and possible thunderstorms predicted on Thursday afternoon. 

A north west rainband coming from Central Australia will arrive in New South Wales on Wednesday and the Upper Hunter on Thursday.

Most rainfall is expected to fall on the western side of the divide however, the Upper Hunter is likely to receive more than ten millimetres.

Light showers may continue throughout Friday, with weather clearing again for the weekend.

With slightly warmer temperatures, no snow is predicted to fall on the Barrington this week.

Glenbawn Dam is currently sitting at 58.3 percent capacity, a 0.4 percent increase since last week.

  • Tuesday: 5-18
  • Wednesday: 5-19
  • Thursday: 8-18
  • Friday: 9-19
  • Saturday: 5-17
  • Sunday: 3-17
