Weather: The week ahead

A CHILLY week of weather in Scone this week, with tops of of 21 degrees during the day and over night temperatures falling between two and seven degrees.

Scone’s average May overnight temperature is 6.6 degrees however, it recorded a significant temperature drop of – 1 yesterday morning.

Murrurundi also recorded its coldest overnight temperature for the month of May, reaching 0.2 degrees last night.

Temperatures may drop even further as a high pressure system moves over the Upper Hunter, creating fairly clear skies for the remainder of the week.

Mostly sunny conditions with morning fog are expected for the first half of the week, with partly cloudy conditions returning from Thursday through to Sunday.

Glenbawn Dam is currently sitting at 57.1 percent capacity, a 0.2 percent increase since last week.

A maximum temperature of 18 today in Scone.
