Veteran’s Golf Report: Nov 23

Thank you to Paul Constable and the volunteers at Aberdeen Golf Club for the immaculate condition of the course for our stroke and putting event – the final for the Jack White Trophy for 2021, on Tuesday, Nov 23.

Brett Dann continued his recent top form to win the trophy with nett 68. The presentation will take place on Wednesday evening, Dec 15 at Aberdeen Sport and Recreation Club, along with the other presentations for our major events for 2021.

Second was vice-captain Graham Turvey 71 C/B, third Gary Gray 71, fourth Reg Davidson 73 C/B and fifth Tony Pearson 73.

Balls went to Mick Reynolds 74 and on 75 Robert Colbert, Dave Kerr, Les Brown and Dave Taylor and visitor Matt Cross.

Ross Banks recorded the best scratch score of 79. The putting wine went to Paul Constable – 25 putts.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by President Paul Gorman.

Nearest the Pins: 4th Brett Dann; 13th Will Coward;  9th/18th Robert Colbert; 7th Terry Mitchell.

Future Games:

  • November 30: At Murrurundi Stfd – Please bring your own carts – no other carts will be available.
  • December 7: At Muswellbrook – the first Round of our A grade, B grade and C grade Championships, stroke; plus the AGM.
  • December 14: At Scone – the second and final round of the Championships.

Presentation evening:

December 15 at Aberdeen, 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm. The quiz this year will focus on the 2021 British Open Golf Tournament. Cost: $15 to treasurer Bob Minch please.
