Upper Hunter Rivers Rising

HEAVY rainfall over the weekend has caused rivers to rise and roads to close in the Upper Hunter Shire.

Glenbawn Road at the Pages river crossing and Cressfield Road at the Middlebrook crossing are currently closed in Scone.
 
Murrulla Street, Mount Street and Green Creek Road are closed in Murrurundi and Wallington Road in Parkville has also closed, due to the flooding of Kingdom Ponds.
 
Rainfall is expected to continue throughout the week, with afternoon showers predicted for tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday.

Pages River Totals

Blandford: Recorded 1.63m at 5:45pm;

Gundy: Recorded height of 1.194m at 5:45pm;

Moonan Brook Total

Moonan Brook: Recorded height of 0.6m at 6:00pm;

Hunter River Totals

Aberdeen: Recorded height of 3.329m at 5:45pm;

Moonan Dam: Recorded height of 1.16 at 6:00pm;

Merriwa River Total

Merriwa: Recorded height of 0.7m at 5:45pm;

Isis River Total

Lower Timor: Recorded height of 1.0m at 5:00pm.

Glenbawn Road, Pages river crossing;

Green Creek Road;
Parkville:
Wallington Road – due to Kingdom Ponds flooding.
