Scone Golf Report: Oct 5-8

The Scone ladies played in the 18 Hole Stableford at Muswellbrook on Thursday, October 5 with June Jukes having the best Scone score of 33 points. Aberdeen will be the venue on Thursday, October 12, followed by a visit to Murrurundi on October 19.

Lyn Banks ventured to Mudgee for their ladies Open Day on Sunday, October 8 and played in rain for most of the day. Her score of 84 resulted in a 3 hole playoff with Dunedoo player Sharon Nott, with Lyn coming out on top to win the event.

On Monday, October 23, six Scone ladies will contest the Hunter River District playoff day at Muswellbrook. Lyn Banks, Pam Manning and Annie Woods will be in the Champions playoff in three divisions, whilst Jo Brown and Noreen Marshall will be in the District Medal event in two divisions. The Golf NSW Medal qualifiers are Jo Brown, Kathy Robinson and Annie Woods and the club wishes all representatives good golf on the day.

The men golfers are continuing to play at various courses around the Upper Hunter.

All members who wish to attend the Scone Golf Club annual Presentation Night on Saturday, October 21, need to purchase tickets at Scone Sporties by Saturday, October 14. Prizes for the major events contested throughout the 2017 season will be presented to the men and lady golfers.
