Scone Court Report: March 2020

THE matters heard at Scone Local Court this month were limited due to the new pandemic measures in place. All adjourned matters will be reported on when they are heard in court.

As part of broader pandemic measures within the judicial and correctional system, more court matters will be adjourned, managed remotely and many people on remand in correctional facilities may be released into the community.

Matters before Scone Local Court this month included:

ABBOTT, Susan, a 60 year old from Scone had charges of Rider not wear approved bicycle helmet fitted/fastened withdrawn and dismissed.

BOSCO, Pakwali Boboya, a 36 year old from Glenfield entered a written plea of guilty to a charge of Class A motor vehicle exceed speed >10km/h in Kelly Street Scone on December 23 last year. He was found guilty with no conviction recorded and given a conditional release order for a period of six months.

CLARK, Bradley Norman, a 51 year old from Murrurundi had three charges of solo driver work more than standard maximum-minor risk, one charge of solo driver work more than standard maximum-severe risk, one charge of driver not keep container weight declaration available and one charge of driver not record prescribed information in written work diary, all charges occurred at Wahroonga. For the charge of severe risk he received an 18 month community corrections order and a $1,000 fine and must complete a traffic offenders program in relation to fatigue. For the three charges of minor risk he received an 18 month community corrections order and fines of $700, $600 and $600. For the charge of not keep weight declaration he received a fine of $400and for the charge of not record information he received a fine of $500.

EGAN, Cassandra Lee,  a 35 year old from Armidale had charges of possess prohibited drug – methylamphetamine in Scone on May 26 and possess prohibited drug-cannabis leaf in Rutherford on December 23. Ms Egan received a fine of $200 for the methylamphetamine offence and a fine $100 for the Cannabis offence. 

MATTHEWS, Jason Raymond, a 46 year old from Scone entered a written plea of guilty to a charge of drive motor vehicle illicit drug present in blood-prior offence being methylamphetamine and delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol from  from an incident in Kempsey on December 12 last year. He was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for 6 months.

MOORE, Jacob Daniel, a 27 year old from Murrurundi had a hearing on two charges of common assault from incidents in Scone on April 26 and Singleton on March 31 last year. He was found guilty on both charges and given a community corrections order for 18 months and 50 hours and 120 hours of community service to be served concurrently.

PERKINS, Lachlan, a 26 year old from Scone submitted a written plea of guilty to charges of possess prohibited plant and cultivate prohibited plant being cannabis. He was fined $450 for cultivate and $100 for the possession.

RANDELL, Jai Anthony, a 32 year old from Scone had a charge of use carriage service to menace, harass, offend from an incident on September 23 last year. He was found guilty and given 80 hours of community service.

SECRETI, Jane Antoinetta, a 55 year old from Tamworth had a charge of class A motor vehicle exceed speed >10km an hour in Kelly Street in Scone on December 31 last year. Ms Secreti had completed the traffic offenders program and the matter was dismissed.

SINGLETON, Wendy Maree, a 62 year old from Aberdeen plead guilty with explanation to a charge of not lock doors secure windows, vehicle unattended, in Liverpool Street, Scone on December 26. The matter was dismissed.
