Upper Hunter Rivers Rising

HEAVY rainfall across the Upper Hunter has caused a rise in river levels across the Shire.

Below is a table of the most recently recorded river levels, provided by the Bureau of Meteorology.

There is a moderate flood warning set for Wollombi Brook at Bulga, which is expected to peak near 3.70 metres at  7pm tonight.

Goulbourn River Totals

Denman: Recorded height of 3.288m at 10:30am. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to rise.

Hunter River Totals

Aberdeen: Recorded height of 4.296m at 10:45. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to remain steady.

Dungog: Recorded height of 1.13m at 10:45. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to remain steady.

Maitland Belmore Bridge: Recorded height of 1.987m at 10:30am. Classed as below flood level and falling.

Muswellbrook: Recorded height of  4.169m at 9:45am. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to rise.

Singleton: Recorded height of 1.454m at 10:30am. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to remain steady.

Kingdom Ponds Totals

Scone: Recorded height of 0.05m at 8:38am. Classed as below flood level with a tendency to remain steady.

Wollombi Brook Totals

Bulga: Recorded height of 2.911m at 10:45am. Classed as below flood flood level with a tendency to remain steady.

Wollombi: Recorded height of 4.21m at 10:55am. Classed as below flood flood level with a tendency to remain steady.
