Rainfalls in Last 24 hours – March 22

AS predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology most of the rainfall in the last 24 hours fell over the Barrington Tops with Mount Barrington recording 3 mls, Moppy Lookout 144 mls and Carey’s Peak 186mls.

Today there will be persistent shower activity with most areas expected to receive 5 to 30mls and on hte Barrington as high as 30 to 40mls. Storms may bring higher falls in some areas.

Tomorrow the showers will be easing with rainfall predicted to be 5 mls or less.

On the weekend Saturday will be partly cloudy and on Sunday, in time for Warbirds Over Scone, skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with cloud building in the evening. There are the chance of light showers over the weekend and if there is rainfall it is expected to be very light.

Rainfalls recorded in the area during the last 24 hours are as follows:

  • Aberdeen – 8.8ml
  • Bunnan – 3ml
  • Casslis – 1ml
  • Merriwa – 0ml
  • Moonan – 11ml
  • Murrurundi – 3.4ml
  • Scone – 12ml
  • Mt Barrington – 128ml
  • Moppy Lookout – 144ml
  • Careys Peak 186ml
