Prowse gaols Sydney man who travelled to Armidale

MAGISTRATE Prowse, who presided over Scone Local Court for many years, has sent a strong message to Sydney-siders travelling to the regions, handing down a two month gaol sentence to a Sydney man who travelled to Armidale.

On Monday, Trong Duc Nguyen, a 31 year old man from Cabramatta appeared before Magistrate Prowse, following his arrested at Armidale railway station.

The man’s solicitor claimed his client was ‘naive’ and was sorry for what he had done.

Cabramatta in the local government area of Fairfield is at the heart of the Sydney covid outbreak, recording 117 active cases on Tuesday.

Armidale went into lock down on August 7 after two cases were recorded and another two further cases have been reported.
