Police wrap: Breakins and parties

A 41 year old woman from Singleton booked into a motel in Murrurundi on Sunday, August 29. On Tuesday, the motel owner noticed water coming from under the locked door of the room and called emergency services. Nobody was found in the room at the time. Police spoke to the Singleton woman and directed her to return to her home in Singleton. The owner found motel rooms had been broken into and items from the rooms stolen. The owner reviewed CCTV footage and saw a female breaking into the rooms. The footage has been provided to police who are investigating.

Lockdown party in Muswellbrook
In the early hours of Thursday, Police received a complaint of loud music coming from a house in Clarence Way, Muswellbrook. Police attended the house and observed a number of people at the property and issued fines.

Covid-19 compliance checks
Police have also advise they are following up multiple reports of alleged breaches of the Public Health Orders (PHO) and are conducting business inspections to check on compliance of customers in the store and also welfare and compliance checks on those people under stricter conditions of the Public Health orders.
