Scone Man to Retire After Keno Win

Filed in Recent News by September 17, 2019

YESTERDAY a Scone man won $73,000 on Keno at the Scone RSL Club and said it came at the perfect time allowing him to retire earlier than expected.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, relived the moment he realised he had won on the Keno 8 Spot ticket when a Keno official phoned him this morning.

“It was great!” he exclaimed.

“I was chatting to my mate, watching the Keno screens, and I quickly realised that the only other number I needed was three. Just as I thought that the number three popped up!

“I played my favourite lucky numbers that I always play and they certainly delivered for me,” he said.

“I yelled ‘you beauty!’

“It was bloody beautiful!” the man said.

Michael Hollingsworth, CEO of Scone RSL Club said he was over the moon for the local patron.

“It’s fantastic to see these big Keno prizes won throughout the state,” said Michael.

“The atmosphere was great here yesterday when he scored the prize,” he said.

“The winner was tickled pink!

“It’s the biggest Keno prize we’ve had won here and we hope it’s the beginning of plenty more!”
