Covid cases climbing regionally

TODAY there were more cases identified in Singleton and Tamworth and sewerage has tested positive in Quirindi.
 
Across the Hunter New England health service there were 61 new cases diagnosed and 963 active cases in total. There are 21 people hospitalised and four people in intensive care.
 
HNEH cases broken down by local government area:
  • 17 in Newcastle (353 active cases)
  • 10 in Lake Macquarie (468)
  • 9 in Mid Coast (112)
  • 7 in Cessnock (291)
  • 6 in Maitland (265)
  • 4 in Port Stephens (89)
  • 4 in Tamworth (94)
  • 3 in Singleton (25)
  • 1 in Dungog (Vacy) (2)

Statewide covid numbers:

  • 345 new cases identified
  • 482 people hospitalised
  • 125 people are in intensive care
  • 67 people are being ventilated
  • 5 people have died
    • 1 in their 30s
    • 1 in their 50s
    • 1 in their 70s
    • 1 in their 80s
    • 1 in their 90s
