Changes to the roadmap effective on Monday

Filed in Just In by October 15, 2021

THE state will reach 80 percent double vaccination rates during the weekend, but there have been changes to the roadmap, due to low vaccination rates in some regional areas.

What’s changed?:

  • Monday, October 18:
    • Visitors to the home: 20 people allowed, instead of 10.
    • Outdoor gatherings: 50 people, instead of 30.
    • Weddings and funerals: No limits to numbers.
    • Pubs: Standing to have a drink resumes.
    • JobSaver payments: extended for regional NSW at 20% until November 1.
    • Hospitality: venues can take bookings of 20.
  • Monday, November 1:
    • State travel: between Greater Sydney and regional NSW resumes.
    • Overseas travel: Fully vaccinated people from overseas will no longer need to quarantine in a hotel or in the home. Visitors and returning Australians will undertake a PCR test when boarding the plane to come to Australia. Unvaccinated people will still need to quarantine, but only 210 spots will be available each week.
    • Hospitality: Cap on hospitality bookings will be removed.
