On behalf of the Lake Glenbawn Water Ski Club, thank you very much to all those who participated in and supported the weekend of 16 and 17 April.

Participants travelled from Nowra, Sydney, Central coast, Newcastle, Maitland and Branxton.

The time and effort of those who travelled is very much appreciated.

Barefoot Endurance Event

Realistically, water conditions at the time were completely unsuitable making barefooting impossible.  Consequently, rules for the event were not enforced or even considered.  In spite of the horrendous water conditions, crews were brave and innovative completing the course at a reduced speed mostly on their bums.

The Corruption crew were the first to return to Ski Beach closely followed by Cubes, Breakfast crew and Robbie Wait’s crew.  The Serpent crew are still coming, watch this space!

Based on the rules of the event, being first home, the Corruption crew were fully entitle to the entry pool.  Technically, for the reasons outlined above, no crew adhered to the rules.  Given the circumstances, the Corruption crew donated the money back to be added to the figure 8 winners pool on Sunday morning.

Thank you very much Corruption crew.

Barefoot Figure 8 Elimination

Congratulations and thank you to the 18 competitors who entered this event.  There can be no winners without competitors.

Chris McLean and Peter McClung were the last 2 footers to do battle after approximately 27 elimination heats; awesome guys!

  • 1st, Chris McLean
  • 2nd, Peter McClung
  • 3rd, Mark Parson

Riley and Christian Parson tied for 1st junior placing.

Chris McLean immediately donated the cash first prize back to the club, thank you very much Chris.
