Council Office Renovated

THE Upper Hunter Shire Council gave itself ‘top marks’ for the newly renovated Council office in Merriwa on Friday.

Proud of the achievement: Cr Deidre Peebles, Cr Maurice Collison and Cr Ron Campbell.

The renovations have been in the pipeline for years, have taken five months to complete and Cr Maurice Collison said the work demonstrates Council’s commitment to Merriwa.

Cr Ron Campbell said the renovations were worth the wait saying it is a safer building with improved access and reduced operating costs.

Change in operational hours:

• The Council are trialing new office hours at Merriwa of 8:30am – 4:30pm, instead of 9am – 5pm.
• However ‘Service NSW’, such as Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will be available between 9am – 4pm.
