Weather the week ahead

THERE is a low pressure trough moving east through the state which will create unstable conditions in the Upper Hunter from tomorrow and clearing on Friday.

Widespread rain is not predicted, rather showers and the chance of localised thunderstorms. There is the possibility that the storms may be severe tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday the weather will be drier with westerly winds. The weekend will be partly cloudy and mostly dry.
